What is a Micronation?

A micronation is a group of individuals who have declared themselves independent from the nation(s) they currently reside in. Whether for serious purposes, ranging from being internationally recognized to being a political movement, or fun purposes like building a community and making friends. Bonesdale is a mix of both, and we wish to ally with and build relationships with both.

Bonesdale is a nation, specifically a micronation. We have no legal land, but halfheartedly claim the state of Montana as ours. More than being a nation, Bonesdale is a community. A community of people working together to make a truly amazing community. Every citizen, every staff member, all the way up to all four owners are pieces working together to build our nation. Bonesdale prides itself on its acceptance, diversity, community, and sense of companionship you can only get in a place like this.
